08 Trim pieces - not wood
my baby has been in the shop for almost a week now (sun roof drains not working properly) and I've been driving a MY08 loaner. Man, I miss my car. I digress....
So I noticed that in this loaner, the vent covers and center cover aren't the new wood trim and they're not the bright/brushed metal add-on peices. It's just a much brighter silvery color as compared to the dull gray of my MY07 HSE. The loander has the rounded corners on the button bezel, as does mine. Anybody know where one could purchase these OEM pieces (or even what they're called or LR part number?) I see that Nick has been able to get hold of the wood trim pieces but haven't seen anything on these OEM silver trim pieces.

I was talking to Nick yesterday at his dealership, LR have worked out what they are missing, the trim panels, be it either Piano Black or Wood Grain are now almost impossible to buy now, and if you can get them he informs me that the H trim costs £200 plus VAT ALONE, then you have to buy the outer vent trims seperate.
I only paid half that from Nick complete with a replacement switch from RRS

I dont like the newer finish, totally happy with my Piano trim, and think its criminal of the price increase.

like I said in the thread, LR have pulled the plug on the ones Nick got us, theres no change in the goods, but now all the parts are increased in cost. £80 + vat for the H trim

Pherplexed, I think postage to US would be a bit excessive!
They pop up from time to time on ebay etc when people change to wood / piano black.
Try asking your dealer to look out for a set?
I reckon the 'bright' silver does look better than the original grey - gives a bit of contrast to the centre of the dash.

yeah, i know.
