My car D3 is due its 105K timing belt service. Does anyone know where I can get this done at non-stealer prices?

Bob,
I phoned all my local dealers (those I was willing to drive to) and asked each one to beat the price of the previous one. Might be worth a try.

I've not reached that service yet, but some members here have and have said Yeovil LR done it for a good price. TLO (aka Nick) will get forum members a discount, also on any parts you need PM Nick, he doesn't bite and apparently he makes a nice cuppa tea too

I went a roundabout route to get mine done. I purchased all the parts from Yeovil LR (with Disco3.com discount) and then got the work done at my local LR dealer. Altogether price was around £700, although I had a few other bits of work done at the same time (front mudflaps, brake fluid change and transfer box oil change).
Unfortunately, the service at my local LR dealer wasn't brilliant, it was my first visit, and having been to Yeovil LR since for other work I wished I had visited them in the first place.

That's a good tip. TLO gave me a price which is competitive. just need to psyche myself up for thelong trip...!
