Delivery arrived today and guess what mine was not on it Dealer cant understand it Bla Bla Bla
Supposed to be here on next shipment
Bought a freelander last month, another one due before Christmas and my father wants to change his D3 for an Evoque. My brother wanted a D4 but could not be bothered with the hassle I was having so went out 2 weeks ago and ordered a top spec Nissan Nivara which was delivered last Friday (10 days wait) and saved a fortune, might not be the best truck in the world but the service was unbelievable.
Not blaming my dealer who I think the world of but land rover customer services are a disgrace. Firstly blame was put on backlog of Evoques for launch sapping delivery spaces, then some embargo on certain spec's now a change of haulier at the end of the month who is now on go slow.
Pretty obvious that business is all too easy for some and mine is not important to them

Picked the car up this afternoon. It's been worth the wait. Will upload pics tomorrow, as it was dark when I got back.
A few niggles that need to be sorted out. Rear seat entertainment has the remote control missing. Looks like it doesn't play MP4 files, which is a different to literature, so I'll be asking for my money back on that option!!
Cornering lights take a bit of getting used to!

Branchespark, how do you mean about the cornering lights ? I've specced them as part of the Vision Assist Pack on my D4 XS due to be picked up on Saturday - keen to know what to expect !

The cornering lights operate when you turn the wheel to the left or right and they throw more light in the direction that you're changing to. I have them on my current model but I've not noticed them too much except when moving slowly in car parks & etc. I think that that's what they're prmarily designed for.
I had some driving lamps on my previous D3 and they had the cornering feature but they were very noticeable during faster cornering. A bit off putting until I got used to them as it appeared that the lights were flashing (i.e. faulty).

I see from TOPix that it is listed that you have Pirelli tyres. TOPix for mine also says that, BUT I actually have Goodyear Wrangler fitted. What did yours come with??
Anyone else??

Mine's got Pirellis on an HSE - is it a model thing ? If it don't fit the third time - try a bigger hammer

I am not in the country, but a photo I have of the car has the word ZERO visible, so assume Pirellis. It's also an HSE.

The tyres on my XS are Goodyear M&S, which I'm reliably informed means "mud and snow".
Sounds like Pirellis are for HSE only.....

Don't think it can be a model thing, as my 2011 XS had Pirellis, and this one was listed on TOPix as having Pirellis.
Must be what they have to hand! The spare is a Continental!!

Maybe not, but its fact, and on my list to discuss with the dealer. Need to physically get down and roll under the car to check, and, I wonder, how many actually do?
