12 volts from fuse box ?
Hi chaps,
Need to find a permanant 12 volt feed that I can use to power my amateur radio equipment, been looking around behind the glovebox with the multimeter but not found anything suitable to hook into...
I've been reading Wiggs fuse box mod about adding a link wire to allow permanant 12 volts to the power sockets but I don't want to down this route as it would mean when on holiday touring the boot fridge would be on all the time..
Is there anything suitable in the form of a permant 12 volt feed in the fusebox that can be easily got at ?Cheers Paul

This is permenant 12v ..fused aswell from an unused fuse 65
Or check the spade connector under that one ..different on different years
Or get one of these ..you then have many choices

You can get a small gadget thing from Waeco(?) that you put inline and it cuts the power to the appliance when the voltage drops low but not to low to start the car. I had 1 in the back of the PUMA when I went to France lastyear. Costs a tad over 12 quid IIRCHONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Thanks Mark,
Don't want to make the 12 sockets live all the time because of all the other gadgets that get plugged in that could be left on by mistake.. But thanks anyway.
Were is the closest suitable earth stud to the fusebox ?Cheers Paul
