RobP - that must be why mine opens the left then, as I am sure the spacer and plug only fit one way round when I was putting it all in!

Might just be they changed the design? Glad your sorted though Thumbs Up

Got the spacer and also turned the socket through 180 degrees so that it opens to the left. Brilliant - it works! Thanks to you all.

I removed the flange on the plug instead, easier mod than modifying the bumper ...
Did break the 7-to-13 adapter though before I realised that everything was 90 deg CW.

(First post after lurking around for two years)
