19" Wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Tyres
Hi Guys,
Me again after some advice. The TDV6 HSE I currently have is on Pirelli Scorpion tyres and, whilst they are good for grip on tarmac I'm not sure what they'll be like on the snow come winter time.
When I have my replacement HSE next week I am expecting it to be on the same tyres. Would you recommend a different tyre for winter?
I'm not going to be doing extreme off-roading but I just need the assurance that the tyres will not let the cars systems down on the slippy stuff.
I don't want to go to a full off-road tyre as for 99% of the time it would be too noisy and would spoilt the ride.
Thanks

got the same tyres on mine, absolutely no problem in snow, even doing some 'lane 3 clearing' on the motorways last winter. Suprisingly capable off-road too 8)

I had Scorpions on 18" wheels for the Rockingham weekend recently and they went everywhere that those with more technical tyres went ...in one case even further than some
You shouldn't have any problems 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

A feeble explanation !
You obviously didn't hear that I got stuck in the ruts of two crossing tracks for 15 minutes at Boughrood then21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

they most certainly do
The secret of success is being able to predict the terrain you're going to encounter and 'select your rubber' accordingly... which brings me neatly on to an old girlfriend...
