2.5 year shakedown in Warranty

My D3 is 3 years old in November, I bought mine second hand so LR UK will not have my details.

My question is can I bring it in to my local stealer with just a phone call - and does it cost?

Regards

RJ

They will have your car details from the reg or VIN number, as long as its under three years old any been serviced correctly any dealer will help you.

I had my last service done well within the warranty and gave them a detailed list of things to check - list is on the forum under pre-warranty check list or something like that.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

If the vehicle is in warranty it doesn't matter who owns it. Just book it in Thumbs Up

Cost, I know if it is a warranty issues then that's free, but do they charge a fee to look over it?

Feck me ...you sound like an old schoolmaster .."cost boy.. I said Cost" Rolling with laughter

Tell them what you think is wrong with it and they will look. If it's an item covered by warranty then there will be no charge. They may find additional things covered under warranty while looking.

But ... if its a wear and tear item then yes they will charge.

You would normally have a fault which they investigate and fix under warranty (or not). Would have thought they would charge you for an inspection. 10forcash does a similar service and will probably be a lot more comprehensive as "can't be ar$ed" is not in his phrase book, unless it means drinking my warm beer in Tunisia!!!

"I'm sure my EPB has played up at some time sir, and while you're at it have a look at my air suspension, my creased seats....... did you drop that £20 note, I'm sure you did, here let me help you pick it up.........."

Is that what you mean?

I'd rather it if you used a "defibrillator" Del Rolling Eyes Laughing
