Hi folks, just thought I'd drop an update on the first 2 years of owning a Disco 3.
Firstly I took sound advice on here from SeaRaider and got the oil pump replaced to the improved version. Whilst in the engine bay I had a (very good) local LR Indy guy do the belts, tensioners and water pump during the MOT and service.
Shortly after buying I also had the coolant pipes replaced as one had split - so thinking the others will be in a similar condition.
The first MOT showed up some corrosion to the sills which was repaired. Likewise the air suspension vessel was replaced. Second MOT was less painful, apart from an advisory for new tyres (Kwikfit are 10% off at the mo..!)
Upcoming work is a new battery arriving this week from Tayna, FBH clean and investigating the HDC failure message whilst driving, (hoping its the steering sensor issue). This site is so so good for troubleshooting
So how have the first two years been...? Awesome, driving with a smile on my face.
So now on the look out for an iiD tool.....to do the 4x4 menu and calibrate steering
