2005 DISCOVERY TDV6 TOP RADIATOR HOSE RIGHT ANGLED CONNECTOR
Hi,
Whilst stripping my engine down to replace the oil pump and timing belt, a plastic right angled fitting the connects the top radiator hose to the water fitting on the front of the engine decided to fall apart in my hands as I was removing it as it was rotten !
Unlike Land Rover parts in general, I found it impossible to get this part new from Land Rover or any other reliable source.
Having worked in the motor trade back in the UK for over 20 years and being involved with cars all my life, I found this quite unbelievable !
After weeks of searching, I managed to find a secondhand part on ebay that was attatched to a pile of hoses and managed to convince the seller to sell me the item seperately.
It was sent to me in France a month ago using UPS and has still not arrived, they are now saying that they need to open an enquiry as basically they have lost it - perfect !
I have attached photos of the part I need and showing the part number on it.
The markings NW28 are the most important part and specific to the dimensions of the fitting I need as it is made in different sizes for Land Rover/Jaguar depending on the model, year, engine size and power of a specific TDV6 application.
I spoke to the company who's name was on the part and they didn't even know who manufactured the part for them and supplied Land Rover with it !
Any help in obtaining this part new or secondhand would be greatly appreciated !
As you can appreciate, my Discovery will not run without this cooling system part and although I am a good all-round mechanic, I do not have the skills to convert it to air cooled so I can use it again !
Many thanks

I bought this part from a 2009 3.0 TDV6 on ebay thinking it would be the same.
Although it was exactly the same to look at, the part number when it arrived was NW32 and it was slightly larger in diameter and so was too big to fit onto the water outlet pipe on the front of the engine.

When you look at the black water housings online for sale ( on eBay or similar ) that sit in the front of the vee of the engine that the part I need fits onto, they say they fit 2.7/3.0 TDV6 engines and the part number is LRO73372.
All I can think is the one I was sent was for an SDV6 that has been enlarged and beefed up to handle the extra power !
I need to find a Discovery 3 breakers that have got early 2.7 TDV6's which they are breaking as I have no chance finding one in France as they drive the cars that get broken in the UK here !

Yes, I've seen seen part number PEL500310 but i didn't want to have to pay over £500 including shipping and customs duty just for one small part out of a whole bundle of cooling pipes !
Car part prices here in France are at least double that so thats not an option either.
I can't understand why it is not sold as an individual part like almost everything else on a Land Rover.

Also check Citroen and peouget dealers.

2 Sometimes they sell more spare parts and cheaper
3 ideal for where you live

Hello all
I have been chasing a replacement 90 degree connector from the rad' to the water connector block. Like many others out here, mine has crumbled after 20 years.
Can anyone confirm that the 90 degree connector from D4 top hose (total part LR095544) is a direct replacement for the 90 degree conn

ector on the D3 (not the hose, just the connector)?
I have attached close-ups of the part and manufacturer's codes.
Many thanks
