This sounds weird !

What puzzles me is the change of air intake... this means a total work around under the Hood no ?... How can this be justified unless the disco is going 4 with MAJOR changes such as an hybrid engine or any sort of "e-rad" system ? If they come with something less than that, they are just wasting time and money... the reason for slower sales is to my modest opinion to not the absence of a fancy LED stripe in headlights, or body colour wing extenders but a ferocious tax regulation in most EU countries due to the high CO2 emissions and a less than optimal MPG...

But they've got the point, haven't they ?
A second D3 ! This time with all whistles and bells (Auto, 7seats, Diff Lock, RAI, all kinds of protections, winch, Extended range tank, iPod adapter....)
First time twice the same car ! and first time third car of the same brand !

I'm loving it !

It's all speculation DG!
Nothing more, nothing less.

Let's just wait til the real thing appears ...

Rich this is NOT 2009MY

http://www.caradvice.com.au/19546/2009-lan...ift-spied/

The disguised front end matches perfectly with the shots culled from the LRX video

And as far as rerouting any air intake to the passenger side - it will be a fake like the RRS

Those lights may be the dogs at night, but the look a bit heavy in the day light, not as neat as Audi.

I think you're right - there'll be the 3.0TDV6 (& 5.0 V8 for non-UK) under the hood, the fake vent and a change to the bumper, front lights, grill and rear lights - I can't see them doing much else Thumbs Up

I know that the vehicle in the 'spy shots' is not anything different from my vehicle as it is only a test mule with a few styling changes. Irrespective of that, perhaps the 2010 model will only be an evolution of the existing car with all the existing eco kit ie. stop/start, lower emissions, probably brake regeneration with a hybrid motor of sorts because at the end of the day all of this technology is, in reality, still massively in its infancy. Perhaps the real change to the design will come when they can put together a car that is truly technically advanced enough, in eco terms, to stand out from the rest of the 4x4 crowd and still be able to go where no other 4x4 can go!
Having said that, I still want to know if that new front grill is or will be available, as it is the grill that the car should have had ASAP after the Sport showed us the direction that Land Rover was taking.

Well I don't see that LR have anything in place technically to move away from the original company model plan which indicated that a heavily revised D3 (or D4) would be brought to market in 2014. Now having said that, the recent economic and environmental pressures to produce an eco friendly fleet may mean that the plans are brought forward .....but I would be exceptionally surprised if they can achieve that significantly in 2010 or indeed in 2011. I also think it will be a fake airvent because of the lack of space to fit 2 airboxes under the hood.

As for the interior update

this is an RRS interior spyshot, as we all know the electronics + most of its hardware are the same to the D3
I expect to find them in the 2010 D3

You can see the new instrument cluster and airconpanel
