2011 D4 Dab and FM issues |
|
[Hi all,
Looking for some help as always, the DAB has been working fine in my D4 XS but then for no reason "no reception" message appears on DAB 1, 2 and 3 but all my programmed stations are visible just no reception.
A few days later it started working fine, washed it last week and since then DAB has stopped working again, channels are listed in the DAB Search but when selected get "no reception" message again.
Also noticed that the FM signal isn't very good now as if RDS isn't working properly.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
I haven't got round to fixing it yet but have been told by several sources that the antenna on the roof needs to be removed and the connections cleaned, water can get in and corrode them.
This involves partly removing the roof lining and side trim 2011 Discovery 4 XS in Fuji White

I think I'm right in saying that the 'Sharks fin' on the roof is nothing to do with DAB or FM.
Radio Antennas are I believe in the rear side windows.
Happy to be shot down in flames though. Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

Hi,
You may be right, only going by what I've been told, one source was a car audio specialist and says it's common especially if using a pressure washer.
As it only costs time I'll have a go and update 2011 Discovery 4 XS in Fuji White
