2012 Disco 4 Key Programming

Hi All,

I have lost a key! I have a 2012 Disco 4 - does it definitely need to go back to the dealer? I've ordered a new key on eBay and am planning to take it to the dealer but I'm scared of the cost.

I'm even willing to buy a programmer and sell it on again afterwards if I can avoid going to the dealer.
