TBH This is the first new Landrover product I have owned.

Things I like:

I like the flappy paddle gearbox, helps make overtakes crisper and is quite intuitive. The finish appears to be superb and I have climbed all over it! Abbs ( My german shepherd) loves it..... if puking in the back twice in 24 hours is a definition of "like" Sad

Handling feels pretty sure footed for such a large car and the cornering is very impressive.

Things that could be better?

Adaptive cruise control should be an option at least on a £50k car. My 2010 Mondeo had it! Also, the global window closing could do with being one touch rather than press and hold. I think these things are only minor and will be rectified over the next couple of model years.

With the access height setting, it is not THAT difficult to get into for a disabled driver although Im not sure how many Discos get sold to Motability clients!

I have succumbed to the Sumatra Black with privacy glass etc. I think it looks great although it was a tough choice between that and the graphite grey. Nearly every Disco or RR around here seems to be black. Good choice or am I just a sheep ? Time will tell I suppose.

Anyway, all this is just MHO.

I need to find some green lanes around here soon Smile

Is definitely NOT Morris Marina beige or brown, take it from me.

Probably more some sort of Farrow & Ball colour, which most women seem to love I thought Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Re the dimmer - I thought someone was complaining that the 2011MY TOUCH SCREEN didn't dim - which mine definitely does.

Re fuel consumption - for the present I've just decided the whole package is just so great I'm going to fully enjoy it and then remortgage Thumbs Up or Big Cry
If it don't fit the third time - try a bigger hammer

If you mean via the remote (as that's the only global close I know of?!) you can release the button when they start to open or close and they'll keep goi Thumbs Up ng

OK, I didn't realise that. I was referring to the keyless entry/exit door button. I never take the key out of my bag and I can close the windows by pushing and holding the door button once the doors are locked but I have to keep it depressed until they fully close. There does not appear to be a one touch function for that as far as I can see. Mind you, it's only been four days so there's plenty of time !
