A myth indeed
When I ordered mine, it was all pre-built stock, the only extra selectable items were dealer fit, like side steps.
I wanted a towbar so could not get a cooler box with a black exterior , light interior. Well I could of but in effect would of paid a grand for tow bar to be fitted by dealer on top which would of made it one very expensive cool box!
It was as said before an exercise in using up the part bins, and basically a very high spec HSE. D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST
D4 HSE MY12 Marmais Teal: Gone. Missed a lot!
Freelander 2 SD HSE MY11 Silver:Thankfully gone.
D4 HSE MY11 Silver: Gone missed !
Range Rover Sport MY06 HSE Buck Blue: Gone missed!
Discovery D2 TD5 Facelift MY Red Gone Missed!
Discovery D2 TD5 Cobalt Blue: Gone Missed!
Discovery D1 Auto Oxford Blue Not missed at all!
Discovery D1 Avalon Blue First LR! missed!
Now demoted to a VW

Across the many debates and stated differences, as far as I can ascertain, the biggest difference other than the colour of the roof rails is the writing on the badge. The rest of the differences being mythology?
Earlier Lux's may have had a wider choice of options
Landmark did indeed have a restricted colour choice
In short, Landmark = renamed & discounted Lux for the runout period, during which it was not possible to obtain the 'standard' spec (HSE, Lux etc)? Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

Very little point in listing the differences straight from the relevant brochures after all then 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: FL2 as a second car
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

A very striking colour, but not sure if I could live with it (and one of my D4’s was Firenze Red ). 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: FL2 as a second car

I think it might grow on. I was “just looking” at vehicles in Germany (AutoScout24, mobile.de) and it’s either white, black or 50 shades of gray that’s available.

Is that the Landmark, or all modern LR’s in general?
They did make some on Loire Blue, but they never made it to the brochures 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

I just came off a 3+ month search for my D4. It took ages to find mine with Black Pack, Exterior Detection Pack, and Vision Assist Pack. Most of the options weren't even available on Landmark.
(Someone earlier posted what you can't spec on the Landmark)
Thats the packs i added ! you've not by any chance ended up with a coris grey one ? might be mine
It is Corris Grey. Bought it with only 13.9k miles on the clock. Familiar? 2016 D4 HSE Lux
