2014 LR4 exhaust blow occasionally
Every now and then my 2014 LR4 3.0 exhaust sounds changes to what sounds like an exhaust blow, it growls (actually sounds quite nice lol) but then goes away. Iv tried plugging exhaust outlet to see if I can hear any exhaust escaping any ware but can’t hear. But then today with my internal fans set to cold I’m gettting a slight smell of What smells like diesel fumes.
Any ideas what this could be

Mine's doing exactly the same, done it twice since last MD service at 5 years. I never had it before so I recon their 'software upgrade' added it. Not sure if I'm glad? Looked into it, its a periodic thing that somehow adds fuel in late to get the exhaust very hot to burn away the diesel particulates in the filter. Apparently if it starts doing it, you need to maintain at least forty mph for twenty minutes or it will restart later!
I'm probably talking a load of rubbish so please feel free to correct me.
