Causeway looks very black in the photos, is it in real life?

Do those side steps interfere with the wade sensors

Causeway is quite dark, although it looked a bit lighter than the photos when i took delivery in bright sunlight yesterday.

don't know about the wade sensors being hindered by the steps. I didn't spec them on my car.
