2016 D4
I am replacing my 2006 D3 SE manual with an HSE D4. We have xenon adaptive headlights which are fantastic. I have read that the later xenons are not as good and not adaptive. Any input?

Correct, not adaptive but can be made brighter by changing the bulbs, I've never had an issue with the lights on my 2015 D4 but then it's not been particularly dark while I've been out in it since I bought it in Feb...I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

ISTR Adaptive with cornering was an option on the HSE with the vision assist pack ...they were very good IMO21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

We have Adaptive Bi-Xenons on our MY2016. Also inc the cornering light and High Beam assist.
The are okay, we did upgrade the bulbs too. Our previous MY2005 D3 had standard bi-xenons (not adaptive.
The adptive function is not as good as I have used on other cars, and the HBA is a fraction too sow.
