2.7 TDV6 remap/chip advice please?
Hi all,
i am looking to remap my car, for a decent price, i am aware of the BAS remap but they do cost a good amount, im a little low due to my lovely car needing repairs every other month. need to sort out my crossover pipe, going to cost approx £900+ and i had my lower arms replaced in jan, £800. looking for something up to £200ish. hoping some of you have done it around at that price.
i have looked into it and seen theres 3 maps, eco, balanced and performance. i wouldnt go for the eco, either balanced or performance, what has everyone got?
Thanks !

I've what was described to me as an economy map from BAS but different companies call them different things such as stage 1, 2, 3 etc.
A basic/economy map will not need an uprated intercooler to get the best from it whereas some of the higher power maps really need other work done to get the full benefit.
Try giving Mike at Dynachip a call if you want a low cost map, he comes to you and is well regarded, certainly in D2 circles but also does D3 maps.
I doubt you'll find anyone reputable doing a remap for under £200

In UK - Dare not say on this Forum
Gone - Lots of Lode Lane vehicles.

NJSSAm I Gammon or Woke ? - I neither know nor care.
2016 Discovery 4 Landmark
2011 Mercedes Benz SL350 (R230)
1973 MG B GT V8 - 3.9L John Eales engine, 5 speed R380 gearbox, since 1975.
1959 MGA roadster - 1.9L Peter Burgess Engine - 5 speed gearbox
Past LRs - Multiple FFRs, Discos & a Series I - some petrol, some diesel,
none Electric or H2 fuel cell - yet.

Tech has slightly moved on from the original halceon days of the stage 1, 2, 3 tuning options...
Basically:
Stage 1. Bits you can just bolt on.. ie DIY Spanner stuff (Least cost and can give a decent gain in power OR Noise if that is your measure ))
Stage 2. Bolt on bits AND some engine or machine work also NEEDS to be done to extract more power (lots more cost for a little more power).
Stage 3. You are talking out and out performance for track or stage.. Lots of Engineering and reworking... If the vehicle is un-drivable on the road.. Its probably stage 3 and cost MEGA money for a last wee bit of power!1 TR6 Rusting away quietly
1 FARR UTV SOLD
1 International Harvester SOLD
7 x D3 all SOLD
2 x D4 both SOLD
1 x Mrs D4 'Panther' SOLD
1 x Outlander van SOLD
1 continual stream of car parts and me living in the garage...

If you can’t afford a reputable remap don’t bother, it will cost a lot more than £200 in the long run probably put another 0 on. There are probably only 3 or 4 reputable maps available, the rest can lead to mega problems It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Alive Tuning Remap
I had Alive ECU Remap with Atric hand held console you plug in yourself. Did it today.
Getting max 37 miles per gallon based on open road average speed 65 miles per hour
Granted, I've removed the spare tire and carry tire inflator can instead. I also removed as much unnecessary belongings as I could.
Alive are specialists for running Land Rover. Cost £490 approx.
