275/55/20 or 265/65/18

Please can I see photos of your tyre set up?

I'm looking at 275/55/20 to go on my existing wheels

Or, is it worth investing in a new set of 18" wheels and fitting 265/65/18 tyres?

Also, there is some very cheap sets of 18" D2/D3 alloys going on eBay. Will D2/D3 wheels fit the D4?

I know a D4 needs a minimum of 18" size, more the PCD and centre bore.

LR 18’s won’t fit on a 3.0 Ltr D4, they don’t clear the front calipers. There are aftermarket 18’s that work.

If you already have 20’s, stick with them. I ran 265/50x20’s on mine

Thanks for the advice.

I'm inclined to stick with 20s as it'll save me a bit of cash to spend on a decent roof rack.

The current tyres are 275/45/20 but I'd prefer a bit more sidewall, especially for next summer's off road holiday plans.

Tread depth is ok for now but I think they're quite old, so not as grippy as they could be.
