275/65 18’s - pic request

Hi Guys, put something up on the Facebook group but only two people have replied, so il try here for some more response.

I’m looking for some pics of people with 275/65 18’s, I have ordered a set of coopers in this size and now looking at what needs to be done to get them to fit. Some say they got no problem, others say you need to cut a few bits or move some wires? I’m interested in seeing what people have done modification wise with some pics. I have some spacers and may get some lift rods if needed.

TIA.

I have Cooper STT 275/65/18 fitted on PD1881 rims, with Johnson rods fitted, and they don’t touch anywhere. They don’t even touch when in “access” mode.

Thanks John, guess il have to fit them to get a real answer. How do you adjust the lift rods? Are there settings or just high or higher?

The Johnson rods are a set length, and are not adjustable. I believe there are other rods out there that you can manually adjust, but require crawling around on the ground, which is not what I want to do.

I suppose it depends on what rims you are fitting the tyres to as it depends on the ET of the rim.

I've got that size Cooper AT3s, and adjustable rods set in high all the time. Like John not bothered about messing underneath. I do get the odd catching sound when turning sharp left (not checked where yet) runs OK in access for going under car park and tip barriers.

Fitted them up today and fit well. No rubbing on lock but the tyre is very close to the inner strut on the front 👍 il put a pic up when it’s light enough to get one.
