Is there a 3 litre petrol D5
Just been on the configerator and I couldnt see one.
But just had a call from someone who has had a new D5 delivered and he thinks its a 3 litre petrol.
Could it be?

There used to be - I think it was removed from the model year lineup in some markets (UK? Europe?)
Edit: checked - MY19 Si6 (3.0L petrol) and Td6 (3.0L diesel) exist at least in USA. For Finland I see only Sd4 and Sd6 (3.0L diesel).
The Sd6 is specced as 306 bhp (177 kW) while the yank Td6 is 254 bhp....?

I see. I guess it was ordered a while ago so could be the 3 litre then.
I am surprised he doesnt actually, since he ordered it.

There was a 3.0 Si6 petrol but was dropped in the UK just before the new emissions testing, now only petrol option is the 2.0 Si4 300hp23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

So, is anyone in the know what the difference is between the Si6 that was sold in Europe and the yank market Td6? Is it the same engine but just tuned differently? there’s a 52 bhp difference, no idea about torque.. and can’t be bothered to look it up now
The Td6 specs (well the bhp) sound very similar to the TDV6/SDV6 engine on D4 but I thought the Si6 was also the same thing.

Yes ones diesel and ones petrol
3.0 diesel is badged as Td6
3.0 petrol is badged as Si6
