Just filling up at Petrol station and a very nice Disco 3 se in front of me with a private plate a lovely dark grey metallic very straight car with lovely tints, on way back out had a chat of course with the old chap driving it, asked him how his crank was doing, he asked me if that's a problem on these I said have you got a Month !!
He said he liked the look of mine asked the mileage was shocked when I said about 205k on an 08, he said his had 47k on it had not driven it for 5 yrs of its life because of illness and then COVID !! He has been offered 6k for it sounded about right.
Only downside was it was manual can they be converted ?. Not sure I could go back to changing gear.
On another note just looking around for a ULEZ compliant Euro 6 Disco 4 and read an advert in Autotrader for a Euro 5 car saying it can be upgraded to ULEZ compliant for £1000 ?.. anyone know what they do ? Advert attached for information

Sadly there is no way to make a non compliant D4 compliant that would cost less than buying a compliant 2015/16 model. It would require a new engine and all the mods to AdBlue etc - and it would have to be fitted by a certified government test facility, and rolling road tested for emissions and a new V5 issued.
In short nobody is ever going to do it. Would cost a fortune.

Someone will make an electric Disco soon. It's suited for it, take out the fuel tank and drivetrain, auto box... Drop in some Tesla batteries and off you go. I'd love one.

best would be done with in hub motors to have more space for batteries and chargin infrastructure after widening frame a bit in places
should be easy to put 150kW of batteries in it but it would possibly cost more than Tesla model X
