Hi,
Just thought I would share this with you guys as its driving me mad now.
Last Saturday I was parked at the station car park waiting for SWMBO and found I had time to kill, so with the engine running and in Park with the brake on i found myself investigating all of the options and settings on my 09 D4 XS you know what i mean setting the balance and fader all to one corner to see if it makes Piddly Diddly or whatever his name is sound any better, when all of a sudden whilst playing with the air suspension and special programmes nurly knob a 4X4 info screen appeared. it detailed all of the info about which position i selected ie sand mud ruts etc and then went on to display a split screen showing ride height and wheel levels and direction. Pretty cool I thought. I actually drove all the way home tickled pink that I could watch the front wheels changing direction
However, next morning it wasn't there any more and i cant seem to recreate the scenario which enabled it to appear in the first place.
I know all you HSE drivers are probably sniggering about now, and I don't blame you I should have gone that way myself, but hey Ive got an XS for now and i was wondering if any of you out there can shed any light on why this appeared and was then gone
There is clearly the info installed but where is it?
Thanks for all your help in advance. When the only tool you own is a hammer,
every problem begins to look like a nail.

there is a software glitch ....you can do it ..but each time you turn the car off it disapears .
Or get someone with a faultmate to enable it
here are the instructions for temp 4x4
1) Switch on the ignition
2) Turn on the Terrian Response switch to any off-road mode
3) The Terrian Response Switch will be displayed on the screen
4) Press "ONE SCREEN BACK" button on screen
5) And now you can enjoy have wounderful 4x4 screen on display
6) Turn-on the engine and run. G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Going back to the Kent weekend of 26th Aug in Kent... I think I'm just looking for the 4x4 info and voice activation to be enabled. I'm also looking to add the OEM reversing camera at some point but I assume that's a much bigger job/cost?
