New year at Centreparcs is looming and I need to carry 5 bikes, with a roof box fitted, I'll only use this a couple of times per year.
The only three viable options I see are
Buy a tow bar (£150+£71) and choose either:-
Maxxraxx, with a special bracket fitted by them (£190)
Pendle, do a special order 5 rack, but I need to sign a disclaimer which worries me (£271).
Rent bikes whilst there and save myself £500
5 bikes (three adult size, two kids) are quite heavy, I'm sure the D3's up to it the question is... are these bike racks up to it.
Any experience of carrying 5 bikes would be most appreciated.
Merry Christmas...............

If it's 5 bikes that you need just go for the rental, it's not worth the hassle for several days use. Trailre would be next best option but then you have to park it up when you leave the car.
Have a good break.
Cheers

The Pendle 4-bike rack will hold 5 bikes, no problem. Put 4 on the arms and put the 5th on the top of the other 4. It will certainly take the weight. No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!
