There's a good chance that there will be a coil sprung 2.0 car, with a 5 seat version for some markets.
It's very unlikely that there will be a "utility" version, one with the vinyl seats that come in a taxi spec Mercedes, it's just not the market they are looking for anymore.
I'd expect the cost of an entry level 2.0 litre coil sprung car, probably with single speed transfer case and possibly no terrain response, to be around what we very recently used to pay for a 3.0 V6 D5 SE with air suspension, TR and 2 speed transfer case. Possibly starting at £39,995.00, if only to slip in under the new, jealousy based, car tax banding of £40,000.002011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

My salesman said there will be a 5 seat, 2.0, coiler and should start below the current Graphite prices.
There will be entry level cars without low range but they will feature TR, I would assume that higher spec models will feature TR2 with auto mode and ATPC (all terrain progress control).23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

About £40 k ? There's a lot of money's worth of hardware missing there, even from an SE D4.
If you can add 7 seats it would do me just fine.

I think LR may need a "Base" model D5 to keep those who want a new Defender in a LR product. They need to bridge the gap.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Ah yes, but will the loadspace of the Discovery 5 in five seat format be large enough for it to qualify as a Utility under our rules over here I wonder?
Local LR HQ say that's at the discretion of the Revenue Commissioners who will examine the first shipment when it arrives, do some measuring up, and then make a decision!
