5 Ton bottle jacks - £8.99

Just bought this from JTF in Leeds, came in a hard plastic case as well. Fits better in the 3rd row foot well. Couldnt go wrong for £8.99, they also had them with 3 or 4 Ton lifting capacity for even less !

Wouldn't dream of using a bottle jack on a D3. Far too unstable TBH. Regardless of the lifting capacity. I have a 10t one and because of the lift and angle when lifting, I wouldn't trust it at all.

After some scary movements with my trolly jack I thought for the price it would be worth a try ! and has got to be better and safer than the item supplied with the car Shocked

PS You dont need to be a trader, just need to have some proof of address - utility bill etc Thumbs Up

Absolutely not, but that's just IMO.....

There's too much travel on the suspension to make it safe with one of those.....

Give it a go, but make sure you video it please...........

That looks remarkably like the device that Land Rover supplied to lift my D1, which was a little bit lighter than a D3.

I think it's different to the D1-2 jack, apart from the "Y" shape top to engage under the axle the LR one has a double extending top section, both hydraulic.
This one looks to have a screwed in top section so the maximum lift is limited to the single hydraulic section once the top is screwed up to make contact with the chassis.
I wonder if that's really enough to lift a D3 high enough to change a wheel Question

Does the word 'wobble' sum it up enough?

Sums it up nicely Laughing

TBH though, it can't be any worse than the standard LR supplied D3 jack, then again I wouldn't use one of those either Whistle
