Dear All,
My D4 from 2010 has passed 85000 miles. During that distance, it has been serviced according to the plan, had new drive shaft, a new sensor to the fuel filter, new brake discs multiple times. Most of it has been due to normal wear and tear. It would be nice to hear about others' experiences to know what actions may be needed from 85000 and up. Discovery 4 SDV6, SE, 2010

Hi Robert,
I'm currently at 10000km so not much to say about wear and tear, but could wear and tear account for a new drive shaft?

Of course not; "Most of it has been due to normal wear and tear". Have you already changed drive shaft ? Discovery 4 SDV6, SE, 2010

I agree, it shouldn´t have happend yet. However, the drive shaft was changed already after 10000 km and now my D4 has 140000 km on the meter so something should be expected.
Do anyone have any experience of:
-The cam belts change, is it a must to change both belts?
-How about the air condition, has anyone had to repair it after the warranty expired?
-Any problerms with the DPF?
Simply, anyone had costs? Discovery 4 SDV6, SE, 2010

Hi Robert
I have a MY2007 with 82k, which I just serviced, only had few issues steering rack, belt tensioner and both egr valves - that's all.
I've service the following things:
Oil + oil filter
Washed and cleaned K&N air filter
Pollen filter
Change the diff oil on both axes
New ARB bushes front and rear (poly bush) worth every penny!
Cleaned rear disk brake + pad change
Complete steering rack + lower u/j
New rear light clusters D4
LEDs all around
Changed the side air vent
New handles x4 color coded
Changed aircon O rings on rear aircon + re-gas
De tangoed healights (oven method)
New color coded arches
Clear side repeaters
Update and reset gearbox
Done this over 3 weeks working slowing every evening.
I must say the result is very noticeable.
Last bits to do:
Color code front + rear bumper
Replace Side steps (left one doesn't have the silver bit on it anymore)
Upgrade the front grille
D4 heated steering wheel
D4 Bluetooth
Remote FBH (webasto already in place)
New 20" wheels + tyres
Gearbox filter+oil change in December I'm riding a R1250GSA Triple Back
Previous love: Disco 3 HSE MY07, D4 heated Steering/W, D4 rear cluster, D4 extended roof rack, D4 grille & air grille, D4 rear bumper, colour coded arches + front bumper, side-steps, Webasto timer/ remote control, De-Tangoed Xenon headlights + HID, LEDs all around, reverse CAM (RR hack) + brightness, DLR LEDs, 3-click indicator, SatNav on the move, EGR's done, front/rear antiroll bar Polybush, gearbox pan/filter + oil mega-flush.
