Abersoch- Disco 3 (and other Land Rover) HEAVEN! |
|
I just got back from Abersoch on the Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales.
My Disco 3 (and the wife and kids) are staying at the Warren chalet park until after the bank holiday.
I drove down for the weekend in my series 2a (140 miles in Betsy is not to be taken lightly).
To say there is rather a lot of Land Rovers down there is an understatement! There was loads of D3's, RR Sports, RR's, Defender, Series 1, 2 amd 3, Hard and Soft tops! I even found a derelict S2a 1 Ton on a car park that is screaming "RESTORE ME PLEASE"
Anyway, just want to say if you are looking here, and you go to Abersoch, say hello please! Especially the guy who put his Discovery 3 HSE (05 reg) IN THE SEA to launch his boat HAVE YOU NOT HEARD ABOUT CORRODED WIRING???
I'm going back next weekend, so watch out.

We go to Madryn Castle site nearby- my parents have a place there. The kids and wife spend most holidays there- so if you see a Buckingham Blue YA05 then wave!
One of the teachers at the childrens' school has a new RR HSE and a chalet at the Warren. We saw them passing around the area a few times. The whole place is awash with fancy 4x4s- it's a bit Cheshire-on-sea. Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles
