Some brake bulbe let current arc between the filaments, sending current from the sidelights, up the brake circuit. The car thinks you're driving with the brakes on. The current (going the wrong way) then sets off cascades of faults through various systems.
Use LR brake bulbs (approx 80p each)! Sail Fast - Live Slow...

Vehicle went back to the dealers.
They could find no error codes and suggested that the lowering of the suspension was where they sometimes have it in offroad height when servicing and that over a certain speed it lowers itself.
I didn't let on that I have been around the vehicle service industry all my life, have built several kit cars (so know my way round a vehicle), am an avid reader of DISCO3.CO.UK and hence knew he was talking
So other than handing their tool back I am none the wiser.

It turned to be the small electrical engine which engaged the diff lock!!! This small part which looks like the starter elect motor cost near to 2000 usd.
That's outrageous! That's the cost of an entire rear locking differential! (and the locking motor is serviceable separately).

Thanks phurley
Love you too.
The thing is that here we have only one dealer. The D3 costs about 130-135 K$ and the parts costs accordingly.
Luckily I had a charming accident which allowed me to squeeze the insurance to bear the relevant engine as
part of the overhaul cost.

I forgot to add that having picked it up from the dealers it broke down in exactly the same place - exactly the same distance and driving time - with exactly the same symptoms.
I've done less than 300 miles in this vehicle and it's broken down twice. It's currently the most unreliable vehicle I have had - and I've owned Alfa's in the past!!

Could using LED lights remove this as a potential issue?
Thanks,

Don't worry.
You will get Land rover mania soon. It like women: "you can't with them and you can't without them". The best I can offer you is live into it.

If they give the vehicle back to you with a similarly lame explanation as the last time, offer to give the service manager a lift home - via that route.
You could even spook him with your knowledge of the eminent future...
Perhaps you should take it to a different dealer for service?
