A/C pipework diagram

Would anyone have a schematic of the A/C pipework layout on a D3 please?
I've searched the net, with little success.

While changing my air tank, I've discovered why there was no gas in the A/C system, as the pipes behind the tank have been cut off!

I've only had just over a week, and the previous owner neglected to tell me the A/C wasn't working.

It’s common for the rear AC to be disconnected. Due to corroded rear pipes

A pipe from the basic model is fitted near the battery. So see if the front AC works. There will be a fault code if there is no gas

There's definitely no gas, so need to investigate further. I'll probably take it to my local AC garage for him to see.

Did you find a cause? Were the rear pipes corroded?

I have rear AC and no gas. I am heading to a specialist next week. I have inspected the rear pipes and don’t see any corrosion. Had a good look and feel. I really want to keep the rear AC as it’s the reason I bought this model.

Finding leaks can be tricky, I changed the seals, condenser AND the middle pipe behind the air tank before the shop finally found a pinhole leak in the rear tubes. Had to replace them with made-to-measure hoses, cost an arm and a leg but will hopefully last longer than the $hitty original tubes.

The rear pipes have been linked out with the shortcut pipe fix at the bulkhead so hopefully getting a leak check this week and regassed. If that works, I'll get the missing and damaged pipes replaced. Volunteer driver with 4x4 Response South East Wales
