Access EPB

Hi,
Im using a warm spring day to open up the EPB since it was jammed som time ago and soon time for MOT. Checked here and lot of info BUT when I take down spare wheel a bit plate is covering the EPB and is not like the D3.
It also look like a face of a surpriced man...probably like my face seeing it. How on earth can I take off this plate beeing attached all over the car.?
