Aha, so we now know that two of the people who 'accidentally entered the US from Canada after swerving to avoid an animal' had previously been denied entry to the US and had to engage AWD to get their F-150 pickup across the ditch that marks the border.
At the risk of being flamed, I should add that I am not at all surprised they are 'members of the traveller community'. They probably crossed the border whilst dumping some lawn clippings in a hedge....
