Gulp, I’ve just ordered all the bits and intended to add ACC to my 2016 landmark. Radar unit from eBay for £260 (£40 of the wife asks) and bracket and switch pack from LR.

the beauty of later car there is not even need to cut bumper on reinstallation

Having had my Defender with ACC for 18 months now, I have to be very careful when I jump in my other cars that don’t have it. It’s easily forgotten and before you know it, you’re hurtling towards the back of a stopped car!
I really like the ACC and it takes a lot of stress out of a long journey
In addition to my newb question. I just went outside with a torch.
Assuming I am looking in the correct place it seems I have a 10a fuse in fuse 7 in the engine bay fuse box (passenger side by the main battery). Or maybe I am reading the fuse map wrong.
Reading back through the thread though the picture RATA1 took of his fuses looks completely different to mine so perhaps I am in the wrong fuse box.

from my experience the best confirmation is harness in place. so if you have time take off the bumper to confirm you have harness under it (you do not even have to take it all the way off just enough to see whether harness is present in the middle of the upper bumper section)
if so I can only assume it all would work fine
also on fuses yes 10A fuse 7 in engine bay and 5A fuse in position 6 behind lower glove box were present on mine

Thanks G, I don't really have time to pull the bumper off at the moment so am going to see if I can get a camera up there.
Could anyone with experience please give me some pointers on the best place to try and get an endoscopic camera inserted. Looking at the pictures of the connector location I assume it would be sitting behind the body colour bumper section above the number plate area, and not behind the number plate.
I have tried putting the camera up from the gap above the number plate but it seems there is a rubber seal along that edge which is making a bit awkward to maneuver the camera into a useful spot.

first time around i was using opening in side of the bumper while having fog lamp bazel out

Pulled the foglight plastic off each side to have a dig around with the camera but yet to confirm existence of the loom. I can see cables but no idea what else is in the same region which I could be seeing. Car is obviously a late 2014 on a 64. Fuse 7 in the engine bay compartment is in situ, and fuse 6 in the glovebox also. The fuse map on the engine bay one has fuse 7 as blank though which is a bit weird.
Tempted to just start trying to order the bits and hope.
The radars there are a few on eBay
dpla9g768ad is currently the most expensive.
fpla9g768ac is middle
BH32-9G768-AD is currently the cheapest option that was mentioned in this thread.
Has anyone confirmed the BH32 option will work? I assume all options will need to be flashed by Gap?
This brings me to my next question, I do not have an IID tool which I will need from what I can see. Do I need to use that tool to pull the info needed for the software flash by Gap? Or can I order the radar and send it off to be flashed before having the tool?
Wondering if I can bribe some kind person on here to help me install and config once I have all the parts I need, as having only had the car 2 weeks I’m not particularly up to spec with ripping them apart and coding them yet.

See page 3 of this thread and the post by jjvd21 that has pictures of the wiring position with the bumper removed so should help point you in the right direction of where to look. You need the Gap tool to get the ecu info for Pat to supply the correct software. You reflash the radar unit yourself so do not need to send it off anywhere to get this done. A GAP tool is not cheap but is very useful to have if you have a Disco and can be sold on again for around the same money if you sell the car at some point. Good luck!

i had FPLA variant of the radar off a Jag XJ very cheap from Austria works the treat
having no IDDTool no a big drama as you can pay 80 quid to someone with IIDTool for extra Vin license plus 30 quid for radar flash FW for it if you find someone willing and you take responsibility when reflash goes fecking bonckers lol but you need to have radar installed and found byIIDTool first before getting reflash file which might be a day or so
so I would really recommend confirming your harness is there 100% as it would be most possible situation you could install it and before buying any expensive kit like radar and stuff

remember you need switch pack as well and some braket to install it on the bumper I found LR bracket easiest to cope with without any cutting
also earlier car as far as I know have a bit of trimming required inside the bumper section where radas sits so extra time for proper install
