Hi everyone,
how can I find out if I have AFS? I'm almost sure I don't have it on my april 2005 Disco but if I look closely at the dashboard I can see the warning light sitting there...
If not there van it be installed?
Many thanks,
Wim

You should be very aware of the extra side bulb coming on with sharp low speed turning; like in a dark car park.
I live out in the dark sticks and it lights up the entrance to my drive well as I turn in; I see it switching on lighting the hedge.
Not sure if you stop half-way round and get out to look that it stays on as I have never tried.

If you have 2 bulbs in the clear part off the sides off the front lights, you have adaptive lights. One is on steady and the other only if you turn the stearing wheel above 40 deg.
I don't know if you can update to the later lights I think you can but I don't think a dealer will do it for you.
Probably Wiggs or BBS-SPy and other probably know if it is possible or not. Roel

Hi,
no bulbs, just empty pockets..
I'll try to find out if it is possible at all to build it in afterwards.
Cheers,
Wim

No. Once you come to a halt, the lights will return to center position.
Also they don't work whilst driving backwards. Not that it would do any good I just happened to notice.
@ Wim, if they would be fitted you would know, they do a kind of self-calibration or so when you start the car... basicaly, they move all over

Hi Wiljo,
It does seem to do something with calibration, but it looks more like adjusting the hight. Could that just be a "normal" Xenon lights feature?
Cheers,
Wim

Wim,
I have the full xenon thing. If I start the car up with the lights on I see the lights doing a check. First they point down then going to the outside then up and then to the inside and they end more or less in the middle.
If you take a corner the inside mail light turns into the corner and if you steer further the additional light in the sidelights come on. It only works if you drive forwards. Roel
