Adding Blind Spot to older LR4s?
So I just bought a 2012 LR4 with the 5.0.
I would have loved the 2015 or 2016 but I didn't fall in love with the 3.0V6. I did really like the Blind spot monitoring they had when we test drove them.
Has anyone successfully added in Blind Spot Mirrors to their older LR4?
I would like to install an OEM version with the glass as well, but not sure about the harness and im sure its tied into the ECU, based on my IID tool.

This is something I’ve been looking at for my L320 which uses the same electrical system as the L319. Wiring isn’t to difficult but as you say, it connects into the MS CAN so the BCM/Gateway module controls it. I was thinking of using the L322 system as it’s from the same age as my car but I’m still undecided.
So far I have the 2014 wing mirrors installed with the blind spot glass and the wiring down to the body harness. I had to change quite a few plugs and the connector bracket at the door to body point but that all came with the door harness (I’ve also pre fitted the electro chromatic mirror wiring as it was in the glass and retro fitted the later surround camera system.
The most difficult part will be activating in the CCF, there are options there but I don’t think the full software is present in the BCM of the pre 2014 LR4. James on the forum tried it and it didn’t work. He ended up fitting an aftermarket kit and interfacing it with the OE Blind spot mirrors using some relays.
