Yep I think if we had hit head on we would have killed the old chap, this ended up with all parties walking away!
He hit just behind the front wheel & went down the side of the car, so all panels are damaged + the B pillar at the bottom is damaged! He also hit the back wheel so hard it has cracked 2 of the Spokes & put the wheel out of alignment! Till I pointed out the gouge out of the back tyre the police wanted me to drive to the police station, then we thought change the wheel & get a new wing mirror & we will drive home, but no chance! 
3 cars later & a taxi & we got home!

Second time it has happened to us as well! 8.5 years ago on my wifes birthday going down a dual carriageway way & we meat a Ford Maverick coming sideways down the empty road!
