Air dryer

Just out of interest, can you service the air dryer on the compressor of a D4 i.e new filter pads and desiccant with the compressor still in the mount? Or does the compressor need to be fully removed to service?

It's a fiddle to get it out, but perfectly doable.
I used used an Allen bolt replacement for the retaining screw for ease next time.
Also, fit a metal end plate as the std is plastic and cracks.
