Air suspension

Hi
Can anyone tell me if a 10 to 15 mm difference in height is within acceptable tolerances. We bought a 30 month old discovery 3 recently and within a few days noticed that the driver's side is down, front and back by approximately 15mm. We have had it back to Landrover three times and they say there is nothing wrong with it. Never had a landrover before so we don't know how much tolerance there should be.

I think it is 5-10mm but don't quote me.
Is it going down when left alone or is it out all the time? It will self level on its own with the disco fart and that much would be normal.
Has the dealer done a height calibration?

Thanks. Yes they have calibrated it but it still is down on one side. Usually around 15mm at least. They say their computer will not allow them to alter it. Landrover customer services say we have to go back to where we bought it from even though it was still under warranty, with landrover, when we bought it.

Think the tolerance is 3mm either way ...if they can't calibrate properly then it's likely that a second sensor is faulty ...this can happen without a DTC Thumbs Up

Thank-you. Could you tell me what a DTC is?

Diagnotic Trouble Code ...it's what the sensor spouts out to the system as a fault issue. I had a similar situ where a height sensor showed a DTC fault ..which was replaced but they couldn't calibrate despite no other DTC's showing ...in the end they replaced the other height sensor on the same side and bingo Thumbs Up

Sounds like height sensor failure. It would appear there have been a few recently in UK (salt from the grit maybe Question Idea )
Anyone know what the ride heights should be? ( centre of hub to underside of guard, in normal road height)?

Air suspension leak

I have a 15mm difference between front ride height and a similar difference but on opposite corners at the rear but no warnings on the dash. However it is down on it's stops after an overnight park but it always come back up straight away and the ride height adjust still works fine. I think this might indicate a leak and a faulty sensor Question Any ideas?
