Air Suspension Conversion

Good Evening
Any thoughts on converting air to spring

What does the Dunlop box do with electronic

Has anyone done this conversion and is the ride harder?

Many thank Steve

Suspension Conversion

Thanks Stuart

I appreciate your thoughts

I must say I have same thoughts
Loss of selectable ride hight for terrain
But there are some cost differences.

Air springs leaking
Compressor pack playing up
height sensor and wiring

so the one real thing is the overall ride
is it harder on springs etc

and thanks for the welcome

Looking at D3 to play with
Autosparky by Trade
so not worried by electrics
Just costs mmmmmm

It's not just ride, it's handling. Also consider that coils were only ever offered on the 5-seater, there's a weight and distribution difference with a 7 seater to consider.

Will you tow? If so you'd be mad to consider going to coils.

If you're an auto-sparks, a big part of your cost is already gone as most issues tend to be costly due to diagnosis and repair time, which is "free" for you.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I have the Dunlop kit. The ride is firmer and bouncier. The kit includes a ECU plug-in that lets you retain terrain response + HDC.

I do enjoy offroad in it more knowing it isn't going to leave me on bumpstops. But if you drive on the road a lot you do lose the magic carpet effect.
