Air suspension - Is this normal? |
|
My dad has just bought a D3. We were admiring it through the lounge window when it the suspension sank right down. It had been parked for about 10 mins before this happened.
He says it does that alot. Is that normal?

Did it sink right down or did it just level itself up?
Sinking down - bad.
Leveling - normal.
Can be strange leaving the car with 2 wheels on a curb with it leaning like other cars, then coming back to it 10 minutes later and it is sat level with the curbside wheels up in the arches! Club N.E.R.D.s

Another way of looking at it:
Was the D3 parked on a slope?
If so, the levelling is perfectly normal.
If not, sounds like there might be a suspension issue (but I suspect it's just self-levelling).
