Airliners without window

So the passenger plane without windows is being touted again as the windows serve no useful purpose? Bet Michael O’Leary can’t wait - would you like endless adverts, or a view outside? Outside Sir? That’ll be extra.

For those interested, here’s the proposed A380 double-deck version.

Imagine Ryanair without windows… they could just play you a video of taking off without actually moving… and then tell you to get a bus to where you really want to go. Not much different from what they do now really?

I really don't believe the windows make up 50% of the weight of a wide bodied jet. Confused

Isn't it the strengthening they have to add to allow the windows to be cut in that adds the weight?

I'm sure it does add weight, but not 50%. There is still an awful lot of stuff in a big plane, even without the windows and additional strengthening.

Pre-load everyone into cargo containers and fork lift ‘em in?
