Alarm goes off when opening upper tailgate.

I have some issues with my upper tailgate. All parts replaced but still doesn't open always.

The dealer programmed my key to open the uppertailgate. I don't have to unlock the car first to open it. But when I open it the alarm goes off. (it's on the horn)
I find this strange. The D3 should know it's OK to open the tailgate so why does the alam go off?

I found programming the key-fob to unlock the tailgate to be a waste of time .......you still need a free hand to open it. And I seem to remember that you had to unlock the car before you did it because of the alarm.

It was done because I have/had problems with my upper tailgate and by programming the key button you actuate the system different. So just to try to find out where the problem is.

And yes if you have to unlock it first its a wast off time.
