Alko squeeky brakes

It would appear that squeeky brakes on any 'van fitted with Alko chassis/axles since 2017 is very common, and Alko are getting quite restrictive about fixing it. My 2018 Elddis was suffereing with the squeek, mainly at low speeds, so when it was serviced in March Alko agreed to replace the brake pads under warrenty. This made the squeeling MUCH worse, almost ear peircing, so after much chasing via my service centre they agreed to replace both shoes and drums, which was done on Saturday, and first run it does now seem OK. My service center said Alko were now refusing to replace parts telling folks thay had to live with the noise, so looks like I got lucky and possibly one of the last ones to get the work done under warrenty.

The service center showed me the brake shoes they'd taken off (fitted new in March and done about 1000 miles) The wear was really uneven, with high (showing wear) and low spots (no wear/contact with drum at all) in different places on all 4 shoes, no 2 shoes being worn in the same places. To my mind, thats poor quality shoe manufacture surely.

fingers crossed it doesnt come back.
