Might be worth asking over on RRSPORT as they will have more experience of 20" tyres even if they are a slightly different size. Zermatt silver 06 reg.
Gone but not forgotten !!!

given theres not much clearence to the suspension upright with 9inch wide alloys, plus a bit more comfort, I'd stick with 275/45x20s
Al Volvo XC90 B5 Plus Dark
Gone - MY18 D5 HSE - Corris on 22's with Black Pack
Now gone - MY16 D4 SE Tech, Loire Blue, Almond Leather, Privacy, plus some other goodies.
Old - MY12 D4 SDV6 XS Auto - Ipanema Sand with Almond Leather - Plus other niceties, and D4.com sticker
Older - D3 TDV6 XS Auto - Lugano Teal with Almond Leather, 20" Stormers, Shiny Tailpipes, DVD/TV - and obligatory D3 sticker
Ancient - D3 TDV6 S - Tonga with Ebony, 20" Stormers, satnav & DVD

Thanks everybody for reply
Barry I did not realise you had same alloys and notice you have 275 tyres,I got the idea from looking at ronp's Disco and just thought they were the nicest looking alloy I had seen for Disco(only my opinion) and he was running 295 tyres.
So going for 275 tyres is fine.I have 18 " style 1 at the moment and am told that wheel and tyre size is the same as 20" sromer,is that correct. Is there any other problems with changing to stromer 20",like nuts or lock nut e.t.c. Has handling and ride suffered with bigger wheels.

Hi Martin ,
295"s will work , but you would be asking for it on our crap irish roads.
I have my 275 on now for about 3 months and have not had a problem .
(no rubbing , or arch eating)
275/45/20 will give you the same rolling diameter as your OEM so
Speedo will be the same ,
Handling is changed , the is way tighter (I like a tight )
when cornering at speed. and the steering become more sensitive, at the start
just be careful with this as on the back roads (poor and uneven surfaces) you can find that the Disco wants to follow the uneven surfaces more, nearly ended up in a ditch once. this is the main reason that I would not go bigger than 275.
Grand in the Uk (ronp) as they have better roads..... but they have crap beer
so were kind of even .
your OEM nuts will work fine with your new wheels , as will your oem centre caps
although get new black ones and change your landrover badges front and rear to black also 8)
As I mentioned before I live very close to you and work in limerick city every day
so if you want to see and try the 275's just let me know.

Hi Barry
Thanks for all that.Might be heading towards Limerick soon and will PM you with my number, would be delighted to take a look at wheels exhaust and the rest.
I am going to make a decision on wheels this week, but honestly think I will buy them.Every time I decide against them and resign myself to stick with what I have,I take a last look at yours and ronp's pictures and away we go again. They really do set the D3 off without looking too bling(personal taste,no offence to others)so I guess I will bite the bullet and opt for 275 tyre, also got some good advice from ronp and if our roads were a little better 295 tyre might be an option.

Hi Barry
Just wondering what tyres you are running.Contis come in 275/45/20 but do PZEROS come in 45 profile I only see them in 40.Ronp has Contis but not sure if they are 45 or 40.

See http://www.thefatcat.co.uk/86index.htm
We had a party at our house last year and got a few barrels of their finest. Went down a treat! Back in the game!

Not sure on 45's.
When I got mine fitted I stood one against the existing to check rolling radius and both were the same.
methinks you just need to make a decision [and make it quick] and stick with it......whatever way, you won't regret it!!
Otherwise it'll be an anticlimax! I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.
