Alternator rectifier and charging issues |
|
Hi all,
Does anyone know the parts numbers for a Denso alternator TDV6 for the rectifier and regulator? I have on in the shed I want to replace. Seems to be conflicting information on the correct part number and some conflict whether D3 and D4 alternators have the same rectifier regulator kit.
Also just started getting charging fault issues again intermittently. No w not sure if the battery is cactus but does not seem to hold charge long or the alternator an OEX unit is faulty (put in about 18 months ago). Alternator charging output seems to be anywhere from 14v down to 13.2v and that is when the charge fault light comes on. Disappears when the charge voltage comes back up to 13.5 or 13.7. Will do a load test on the battery in the next day or so as well.
Any advice appreciated. Posted here as in Australia do not seem to be any rectifiers available and get most of my LR gear from the UK.
Vehicle is a 2011 TDV6 D4

Thanks,
So are we saying they generally are not available?? Biggest issue is I have to find one and then find one in a shop that will post to Australia. I think is going to be easier to just get a new alternator complete.
I am assuming it may be RTF50090?
The how to link in post 1 does not work.
Also finding conflicting info on whether the 2011 D4 is a smart alternator or not. Some battery suppliers listing a stop start battery for this model others not and only for 2013 on. Now totally confused.
The one currently in it is not a start stop type.
