Altox and Alexa
How good would it be if Altox got together with Amazon Alexa to create “Alexa turn on my cars heating”
I for one would find it very convenient to wake on a bitterly cold morning and just ask Alexa to turn my car heating on - I ask it to turn my Hive central heating on from the comfort of my couch so why not my car???????
I know Tesla have some form of Alexa voice control about charging and Climate Control, who’s as lazy as I am? As the fat lad from Bolton said about Garlic Bread - “it’s the future”...........One life live it..........

Voice control, totally, totally lost on me, like 3D tv or cheese and wine, Harry Potter or cucumber, utterly pointless. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails
Make your own Narpy grill thread
I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

My wife always laughs at me as I cant get my touch screen phone to work most of the time, lifetime of manual work means thick skin/scars and its bloody annoying at times, as for voice control forget it, even the voice control in a few cars wont work for me at all.

Can Alexa not send texts or make calls like Siri can?IID, webasto software and workshop facility's available.

Yep that’s how mine is set up. IFTTT has limits though, none of the uk mobile phone company’s sign up to it and Altox have no plans. I changed the heating time to 40 mins via the controller so every time I ask Alexa to trigger car heating I only have a pre-set time of 40 mins if Altox allowed the use of IFTTT I’m sure their algorithm would allow more user input and feedback but it’s a start.
I have Alexa trigger car heating on and off as well as status I have also set feed back to my phone so I ask Alexa but the feedback is still to my phone. I haven’t been able to get Alexa to feedback as there isn’t a IFTTT skill that allows feedback just the sms skill. Will keep looking though.
