Altox won’t start the fbh
I fitted an Altox unit to my D4 (MY14) back in May, just after I bought it using the adapter lead from the sop to fit it (no remote was previously fitted to the car). Now we are in the slightly cooler times, I’ve tried getting it to bring the fbh on but it doesn’t make it happen.
Using the Altox app on an iPhone, it says the heater is on, but doesn’t show a flame detected and the temperature doesn’t rise (something strange on the temp sensor as if I request the status, the temperature shows as over 80 degrees before dropping back to an optimistic level after a few seconds)
I’ve checked for fbh status using the app and it’s not showing any faults, I can also make the heater work using the timed climate option in the car. I’ve double checked the CCF settings and they are as given in the write up on this site.
Before I start looking for some tweezers to pull my non existent hair out, has anyone else got any ideas what may be wrong?
Ps, the gps bit really freaked my son out when we went on holiday and he took the car to the local Asda, I rang him to ask him to pick a few things up whilst he was there......

Sure?
1. "Timed Climate" to "Enabled"
2. "Fuel Burning Heater" to "Fitted Parking Heat"
3. "FBH Call Start" to "Fitted Radio"
No fuel on reserve, otherwise FFBH doesn't fire up and external temp lower than 14 °C (otherwise start only the cabin fan, but not the FFBH)Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

taken from the car this evening, the heater type is now set at 'W1' as advised by Beanie, still doesnt run on the altox app, or text, diagnostics appear OK and it seems to be reading the heater faults (I have seen a low fuel alarm from it which I can rest OK)

Bodsy, fuel is fine, just used that to demonstrate the Altox is talking to the fbh.
Also tried changing the heater type to auto detect, still won’t run the fbh.
Can anyone confirm the Altox controls the fbh by bus commands? When I connected the Altox, I only ever used the adapter lead from the site shop, there is no other wiring between the Altox and fbh......
