I was a Varta fan, and/or Bosch which were made at the same factory. At various points in time Bosch owned the Varta battery business, and Varta has owned the Bosch battery business. I believe now both Bosch and Varta batteries are made by a 3rd party in France.
Both of the Varta batteries I've bought recently (7 years) (one in the disco, and one in a VW Passat) have failed.
I know the Disco is heavy on batteries, but I wouldn't have expected a failure like this.Richard

No ........ I have an SDV6 from 2013 and it has no auto-stop-start "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"
Current Ride: D4 XS Commercial Baltic Blue SDV6 fully loaded with heated everything
Track Days: BMW E36 M3 Evolution MY 1996 (3.2 Litre 377 BHP sat in 1,250 Kgs of car, with a pro safety cage and some serious braking power)
Mine arrived 5 days earlier than expected on the 18th March and in perfect condition and full of acid!! Best bargain I have had for a while... ------------------------------

If anyone still wants one of these batteries then I have one going spare as I ordered 2 when they were advertised on Amazon for £67.
Still in box. Can’t post due to hazardous nature of contents. I’m located near Rait between Perth and Dundee. £50 seems fair. Just dibs and drop me a pm. Thanks
