The car has not gone to sleep cause she was worried about………..
No Really
The car has not gone to sleep properly, the radio for some reason has decided to stay on and run the battery flat. I’m going to dealers tomorrow to identify the problem and hopefully get it sorted.
The manual door lock on the passenger door has to be turned clockwise to unlock. The LRA, “nice chapâ€, tried the key in the lock and gave it up as a bad job and decided to try and get in another way, as he didn’t want to break my key.
I thought, stuff it, lets have a go!!. The key moved freely anticlockwise about a ¼ of a turn. There is a lot of resistance turning the key clockwise. To unlock the car I had to turn the key with so much force that I thought it would break the blade from the fob. Fortunately this did not happen and we got in, however the blade is a bit loose now.
She is now having a jolly good charge in the workshop.
Ps Everyone check your manual door locks, shall we start a pollIn the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Radio
I took delivery today. Left dealers at 2pm. Put car in garage 6.30pm.
Initially, display screen glowing LR badge and radio light on after garaged and locked.
Waited around like a fool for a while, nothing happened. Then unlocked car and started motor. Turned it off, locked up. Display screen off. Radio light on.
Went for supper.
Revisited after a number of minutes (don't want to go OTT - should have timed it, but was too long for issue such as this). Radio light STILL on.
Now 11pm. Read your post. Panic - left side against a wall! Out to the garage. No lights on at all.
As the Americans say, go figure!Must look at it from the bright side...

You may have to resort to playing with this while you wait
As an alternative - go find a copy of INSANE for the PC - a cracking game and you can drive an LR DefenderSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Think she is ok, she has been convalescing I will see her later. Although I won’t trust her on her own until she goes in for therapy next week.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
