AndrewS slight problem... |
|
Apparently, neither key will unlock the vehicle, either by remote or using the Manual method (although he didn't say if he'd took the plastic cover off )
The alarm LED is flashing and the clock is showing on the IHU display.... strange
He's off round dwarf country at the moment and he's asked me to post this in case anyone else has had this problem

its probably annoyed at the Mazda
Has the dealer got no suggestions ?
If the keys will not work manually then the central locking may be out of whack... may explain the awake state of clock on the head unit ?????
Was he using the radio trick per chance ?

The passenger door should open regardless if the manual lock is used.
If the CLS buttons on the centre console don't work, then something is amiss with the locking system. If, however, they do, then it is more likely that the remote/CJB synch is out.
That can be restored, re-synching the key to the car, by starting it and leaving the engine running for more than six minutes.

The car will not respond to either keys, I have been told to stand next to the drivers door by LRA and hold the unlock button down for 20 seconds, this did nothing. I tried to unlock the passenger door with the key and yes I took the plastic cover off. The door will not unlock, it feels like there is something wrong with the mechanism inside, there is resistance when the key is turned.
This morning the radio display thing was illuminated with only the time showing. I did not have the pre-heater set, as I have never bothered with it.
I thought I Mazda tried to get into the wrong car this morning but alas no, it is mine that’s playing up. As I can see by the posts the banter has started. Perhaps the old girl is not happy now I have a little sporty model. Can’t blame her really, trying to force myself into her at 04:30 would not go down well would it?
I called LRA at 17:30hrs they called back and will be with me at 18:10 wow. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Is the clock still on the radio? A completely flat battery could be the problem........
